Mini Nutshell / FAQ
What is Frangles? >>
A) A big big bunch of killer- funny, strangely structured pages you need a digital device to read right.
B) An ingenious radical fractal nonlinear universe so ineffably vast and narcissistic as to eschew further modifiers until we think up better decoys.
C) Do you ever get the feeling your left your tagline back on a mirthless multiple choice parody form that's confusing the hell out of billions of newbie freers?
What is frangles mobile? >>
A) A 2 word fuse 1 word 2 long 4 friters & 2 2 long for freers, 2 go. (RUOK?)
B) A term as rhetorial as "mobile paperback" used solely for greedy SEO and marketing purposes, given that the core of Frangles is its stories and hence is already in root form as heap of lazy text pages with no 7020p artwork or holograms.
C) Something better notated by putting an apostrophe after frangles with a lowercase 'f', that is, ( frangles' ).
Is my device good for viewing this site, supposing this actually sounded interesting? >>
A) We strive for radical compatability and device/browser optimization, given the disgusting plethora of differing devices and browsers out there and the fact that there's not a hell of a lot else to do with the equivalent of over a thousand printed pages of text (or "PLP"s; Paperback Length Pages). At least until Chip gets off his ass and learns LinuxPong.
B) Not if you're device or connection can't handle multi-PLP webpages well. At the moment it's near-impossible for us to chop up all our bricks and blurbs into convenient small pieces (for reasons we won't get into here in case your device can't handle a filmscript-long rant of bulsh excuses; suffice to say we're thinking of working on the issue). So be prepared for any link to bring up an indefinitely long page of text. Some webpages are a paragraph or two; others are the length of a short chapter of a novel. (The largest file is the full Xangles Index of Terms, around 200KB, which you should only load on a small device if your browser has a scroll bar or search function.) The good news is, the site can work well when read newspaper-style; sampling pieces here and there, or reading only the start of certain articles to get the jist. As long as you can load a 10 or 20 KB file, it doesn't matter how small your device is if you're either really bored, really into frangles, or just don't give a shit about getting to the end of the page!
C) It's just text; anything goes if you're bored enough (or actually like our stuff).
